* treewide: remove files for building 5.10 kernelNick Hainke2023-05-12
| | | | | | | | | | | All targets are bumped to 5.15. Remove the old 5.10 patches, configs and files using: find target/linux -iname '*-5.10' -exec rm -r {} \; Further, remove the 5.10 include. Signed-off-by: Nick Hainke <vincent@systemli.org>
* kernel: disable CONFIG_CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN in generic configAleksander Jan Bajkowski2022-10-21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Endianness depends on CPU architecture. CONFIG_CPU_(BIG/LITTLE)_ENDIAN should be enabled on target or subtarget based on SoC architecture. Fixes warning: $ make kernel_oldconfig CONFIG_TARGET=subtarget ... .config:1008:warning: override: CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN changes choice state .... Summary: - ARC - only the CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN symbol is defined for this architeture. If it is disabled then the processor operates in LITTLE_ENDIAN mode (default), - ARM32 - CONFIG_CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN symbol available since kernel 5.19. This option should be enabled after OpenWRT moves to kernel 6.x. After refreshing the kernel, the symbol disappears, - ARM64 - enabled CONFIG_CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN, - MIPS - enabled relevant symbols, - POWERPC - enabled CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN, - UML - Symbols are not defined for this architecture, - X86 - always little endian. Symbols are not defined for this architecture. Signed-off-by: Aleksander Jan Bajkowski <olek2@wp.pl>

* kernel: Activate CONFIG_GPIOLIB in generic configurationHauke Mehrtens2022-08-10
| | | | | | | | All targets expect the malta target already activate the CONFIG_GPIOLIB option. Move it to generic kernel configuration and also activate it for malta. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: cut broken SPI_NOR 4K eraseblock LIMIT patchJohn Thomson2022-06-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since 4e0c54bc5bc8 ("kernel: add support for kernel 5.4"), the spi-nor limit 4k erasesize to spi-nor chips below a configured size patch has not functioned as intended. For uniform erasesize SPI-NOR devices, both nor->erase_opcode & mtd->erasesize are used in erase operations. These are set before, and not modified by, this CONFIG_MTD_SPI_NOR_USE_4K_SECTORS_LIMIT patch. Thus, an SPI-NOR device with CONFIG_MTD_SPI_NOR_USE_4K_SECTORS will always use 4k erasesize (where the device supports it). If this patch was fixed to function as intended, there would be cases where devices change from a 4K to a 64K erasesize. Signed-off-by: John Thomson <git@johnthomson.fastmail.com.au>
* generic: enable CRYPTO_LIB_BLAKE2S[_X86|_ARM]Tomasz Maciej Nowak2022-06-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | This is now built-in, enable so it won't propagate on target configs. Link: https://lkml.org/lkml/2022/1/3/168 Fixes: 79e7a2552e89 ("kernel: bump 5.15 to 5.15.44") Fixes: 0ca93670693b ("kernel: bump 5.10 to 5.10.119") Signed-off-by: Tomasz Maciej Nowak <tmn505@gmail.com> (Link to Kernel's commit taht made it built-in, CRYPTO_LIB_BLAKE2S[_ARM|_X86] as it's selectable, 5.10 backport) Signed-off-by: Christian Lamparter <chunkeey@gmail.com>
* mt7620: fix missing kernel config symbolPetr Štetiar2022-02-28
| | | | | | | | | | | Fixes following missing kernel config symbol after adding GPIO watchdog: Software watchdog (SOFT_WATCHDOG) [M/n/y/?] m Watchdog device controlled through GPIO-line (GPIO_WATCHDOG) [Y/n/m/?] y Register the watchdog as early as possible (GPIO_WATCHDOG_ARCH_INITCALL) [N/y/?] (NEW) Fixes: 1a97c03d864e ("rampis: feed zbt-we1026 external watchdog") Signed-off-by: Petr Štetiar <ynezz@true.cz>
* rampis: feed zbt-we1026 external watchdogArvid E. Picciani2022-02-28
| | | | | | Without feeding the gpio watchdog, the board will reset after 90 seconds Signed-off-by: Arvid E. Picciani <aep@exys.org>
* kernel: filter out both Clang and LLD versionsSergey Ryazanov2021-12-17
| | | | | | | | Both CLANG_VERSION and LLD_VERISON are autogenerated runtime configuration options, so add them to the kernel configuration filter and remove from generic and per-target configs to keep configs clean. Signed-off-by: Sergey Ryazanov <ryazanov.s.a@gmail.com>
* kernel: 5.10: packet mangling code only for ar8216 driverMathias Kresin2021-11-02
| | | | | | | | Only the ar8216 switch driver uses the packet mangling code. Update the kernel configs accordingly. Signed-off-by: Mathias Kresin <dev@kresin.me>
* ramips: fix missing NVMEM subsystemDavid Bauer2021-07-21
| | | | | | | | | | | | MAC address retrieval was switched to more generic upstream (5.13) NVMEM based solution in commit 06bb4a5018cd ("ramips: convert mtd-mac-address to nvmem implementation") , but NVMEM subsystem wasn't enabled in the kernel, so fix it now. * ramips: add AW9523 I2C GPIO expander driverDavid Bauer2021-06-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This adds a driver for the AW9523 I2C GPIO expander. This driver is required to make LEDs as well as buttons on the Tenbay T-MB5EU-V01 work. This driver already had several upstream iterations. I'm working to push this driver to mainline. * treewide: switch the timer frequency to 100 HzRui Salvaterra2021-04-21
| | | | | | | | Some targets select HZ=100, others HZ=250. There's no reason to select a higher timer frequency (and 100 Hz are available in every architecture), so change all targets to 100 Hz. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>

* Revert "ramips: add support for kernel 5.10"Adrian Schmutzler2021-03-06
| | | | | | | | | This reverts commit b4aad29a1d7ad77d67073c1c54b28c429c64ed9b. This was accidentally folded into a single commit. Remove it and apply it properly again. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* ramips: add support for kernel 5.10Ilya Lipnitskiy2021-03-05
Enable testing kernel. Delete upstreamed patches: 0098-disable_cm.patch can be dropped, upstream fixed CM handling. Fix compile errors by using new kernel APIs. Fix fuzz by manually editing patches to ensure the code goes in the right place. For 721-NET-no-auto-carrier-off-support.patch, revert upstream commit a307593a6 to keep the OpenWrt ralink driver operational. Add mt7621-pci-phy patch to select REGMAP_MMIO as discussed in PR #3693 and #3952. Rename patches to follow the 3-digit classification from the OpenWrt Developer Guide. Run automatic quilt refresh.
