* imx: add imx8m supportTim Harvey2024-03-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add imx8m support: - add a cortexa53 subtarget to imx - move ARCH and KERNELNAME to subtargets - account for kernel modules that are not used for cortexa53 No device-specific targets or firmware images are created yet but all imx8m* dtbs will be built. enabling CONFIG_TARGET_ROOTFS_INITRAMFS results in openwrt-imx-cortexa53-imx8m-initramfs-kernel.bin which has been successfully booted on an imx8mm-evk using the following: u-boot=> tftpboot $fdt_addr_r image-imx8mm-evk.dtb && \ tftpboot $kernel_addr_r openwrt-imx-cortexa53-imx8m-initramfs-kernel.bin && \ booti $kernel_addr_r - $fdt_addr_r Signed-off-by: Tim Harvey <tharvey@gateworks.com>
* imx: update default network config for ventanaTim Harvey2024-02-15
| | | | | | | | update the default network configuration for Gateworks Ventana boards such that the left-most front-panel NIC is WAN and any additional are in LAN bridge Signed-off-by: Tim Harvey <tharvey@gateworks.com>
* imx: enable CONFIG_REGULATOR_PFUZE100 globallyLech Perczak2023-12-12
| | | | | | | PFUZE100 series of PMICs are used on boards supported by both subtargets. Enable this for whole i.MX target. Signed-off-by: Lech Perczak <lech.perczak@gmail.com>
* imx: keep common kernel symbols in target's configPiotr Dymacz2022-07-11
| | | | | | Move common kernel symbols from subtargets to target config. Signed-off-by: Piotr Dymacz <pepe2k@gmail.com>
* imx: decouple sdcard sysupgrade from Apalis boardsLech Perczak2022-07-11
| | | | | | | | | Sysupgrade procedure for i.MX 6 Apalis boards is suitable for most other i.MX boards booting from eMMC or SD card. Extract the common parts and decouple the procedure from "apalis" board name in sysupgrade TAR contents, so the procedure is reusable for i.MX 7 boards. * imx: bundle correct SDMA firmware for i.MX 7 boardsLech Perczak2022-07-11
| | | | | | | | | | Import sdma-imx7d.bin from linux-firmware repository at commit: 55edf5202154: ("imx: sdma: update firmware to v3.5/v4.5") Cortex-A7 boards (i.MX 7 based) use different SDMA firmware than i.MX 6 boards - bundle the correct files in per-subtarget kernel options. * imx: split into arch-specific subtargetsPiotr Dymacz2021-11-03
Modern NXP i.MX series includes several different families, based on single- or multi-core Arm Cortex-A CPUs. To be able to support more families within a single target, we split the 'imx' in arch-specific subtargets, starting with 'cortexa9' for the Cortex-A9 based i.MX 6, already supported by the original 'imx6' target.
