* kernel: modules: netsupport: adapt for kernel 6.6Weijie Gao2024-03-11
| | | | | | | | Adapt netsupport kmods for building under kernel 6.6: * common part of mqprio was split into a new Kconfig since 6.3. Add new kmod-sched-mqprio-common as dependency for kmod-sched-mqprio. Signed-off-by: Weijie Gao <hackpascal@gmail.com>
* kernel: Remove dsmark supportJohn Audia2024-03-05
| | | | | | | dsmark support was removed in kernel 5.15.150 and 6.1.80. Remove it from the kmod package as well Signed-off-by: John Audia <therealgraysky@proton.me>
* kernel: decouple 9P virtio from 9P netDaniel Maslowski2023-09-14
| | | | | | | General support for 9P is desirable on platforms without virtualization. This decouples the 9P general networking support for use on more platforms. Signed-off-by: Daniel Maslowski <info@orangecms.org>
* kernel: netsupport: kmod-sched: Add act_skbmodHauke Mehrtens2023-08-15
| | | | | | | This adds act_skbmod.ko to kmod-sched. Fixes: #13224 Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: bump 5.15 to 5.15.124John Audia2023-08-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Changelog: https://lore.kernel.org/stable/2023080341-curliness-salary-4158@gregkh/ 1. Needed to make a change to to package/kernel/linux/modules/netsupport.mk due to upstream moving vxlan to its own directory[1]. @john-tho suggested using the the 6.1 xvlan FILES to circumvent. 2. All patches automatically rebased. 1. https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?h=v5.15.124&id=77396fa9096abdbfbb87d63e73ad44d5621cf103 Signed-off-by: John Audia <therealgraysky@proton.me>
* kernel: netsupport: Add kmod-sched-skbprioAlexandru Gagniuc2023-07-30
| | | | | | | | Add support for the SKBPRIO queuing discipline. This is subtly different than prio as it also drops packets from the lower priority flows. Signed-off-by: Alexandru Gagniuc <mr.nuke.me@gmail.com>
* kernel: modules: add xdp-sockets-diag supportTianling Shen2023-07-05
| | | | | | Support for PF_XDP sockets monitoring interface used by the ss tool. Signed-off-by: Tianling Shen <cnsztl@immortalwrt.org>
* ipq807x: rename target to qualcommaxRobert Marko2023-06-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, ipq807x only covers Qualcomm IPQ807x SoC-s. However, Qualcomm also has IPQ60xx and IPQ50xx SoC-s under the AX WiSoC-s and they share a lot of stuff with IPQ807x, especially IPQ60xx so to avoid duplicating kernel patches and everything lets make a common target with per SoC subtargets. Start doing that by renaming ipq807x to qualcommax so that dependencies on ipq807x target can be updated. Signed-off-by: Robert Marko <robimarko@gmail.com>
* kernel: modules: fix mdio-bus-mux descriptionLuiz Angelo Daros de Luca2023-06-09
| | | | | | | Simple error during copy/paste Fixes: 2dbeb607251b ("kernel: add mdio-bus-mux support") Signed-off-by: Luiz Angelo Daros de Luca <luizluca@gmail.com>
* kernel: add mdio-bus-mux supportMathew McBride2023-06-02
| | | | | | | | | The MDIO bus multiplexing framework is used by some drivers such as dwmac-sun8i. As this is a per-driver requirement, set it to be hidden in the menu. Signed-off-by: Mathew McBride <matt@traverse.com.au>
* kernel: kmod-rxrpc: add missing dependenciesTony Ambardar2023-05-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | From commit dc0e6056de ("rxrpc: Fix missing dependency on NET_UDP_TUNNEL") upstream, kmod-rxrpc uses functions enabled by CONFIG_NET_UDP_TUNNEL. Add package dependencies on kmod-udptunnel4 and kmod-udptunnel6 to avoid build errors like: Package kmod-rxrpc is missing dependencies for the following libraries: ip6_udp_tunnel.ko udp_tunnel.ko This change applies to both kernels 5.15 and 6.1. Signed-off-by: Tony Ambardar <itugrok@yahoo.com>
* kernel: modules: fs: adapt for kernel 6.1Robert Marko2023-05-22
| | | | | | | | | | Adapt filesystem kmods for building under kernel 6.1: * Depend on kernel not being 5.10 rather than only 5.15 * kmod-fs-9p depends on kmod-fs-netfs from 5.17 as they started using netfs helpers * Set new KConfig options to N Signed-off-by: Robert Marko <robimarko@gmail.com>
* kernel: modules: adapt for kernel 6.1Christian Marangi2023-05-22
| | | | | | Adapt kernel modules to support kernel 6.1. Signed-off-by: Christian Marangi <ansuelsmth@gmail.com>
* kernel: net: add support for kernel tlsTiago Gaspar2023-05-20
| | | | | | | | | | Add ktls (Kernel TLS) kmods to enable TLS support in kernel (allowing TLS offload when the network card supports it) Signed-off-by: Tiago Gaspar <tiagogaspar8@gmail.com> (added disabled symbols) Signed-off-by: Christian Lamparter <chunkeey@gmail.com>
* treewide: cleanup kernel symbol referencesNick Hainke2023-05-12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We only use 5.15 kernel. So remove all those unnecessary symbols referencing 5.10 or 5.15 kernel. Can be found with: git grep -E 'LINUX_5_1(0|5)' Note that we remove the dependency from "sound-soc-chipdip-dac" instead of removing the complete kernel package. The 5.15 version bump forgot to delete the "@LINUX_5_10" dependency. The kernel package is still needed in 5.15 kernel. Signed-off-by: Nick Hainke <vincent@systemli.org>
* kernel: fix up qrtr packaging after 5.15.107 bumpStefan Lippers-Hollmann2023-04-19
| | | | | | | | qrtr/ns.ko is now merged into qrtr/qrtr.ko, so drop the individual module packaging. Fixes: f4989239cc91 ("kernel: bump 5.15 to 5.15.107") Signed-off-by: Stefan Lippers-Hollmann <s.l-h@gmx.de> Tested-by: Stefan Lippers-Hollmann <s.l-h@gmx.de> #ipq807x/ax3600, x86_64/FW-7543B, mt7621/dap-x1860
* kernel: tcindex classifier has been retiredJohn Audia2023-03-18
| | | | | | https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/net/sched?h=v5.15.100&id=7c183dc0af472dec33d2c0786a5e356baa8cad19 Signed-off-by: John Audia <therealgraysky@proton.me>
* kernel: package QRTR supportRobert Marko2022-12-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | QRTR is Qualcomm IPC router protocol and ath11k requires it for both AHB and PCI support, so package it as a kernel module so it can be added as a dependency to the ath11k module. Only kernel 5.15 is currently supported due to various things missing in 5.10 whose backporting is out of scope for this patch. SMD, TUN and MHI variants are packaged. SMD variant depends on the ipq807x target as it has dependency on the RPMSG drivers which are Qualcomm and SoC specific anyway. Signed-off-by: Robert Marko <robimarko@gmail.com>
* kernel: further cleanup of xfrm[4|6]_mode*Martin Schiller2022-11-05
| | | | | | | | | In my commit da5c45f4d886 ("kernel: remove handling of xfrm[4|6]_mode_* modules") I missed a few default config options and description entries. Those should be gone as well. Fixes: da5c45f4d886 ("kernel: remove handling of xfrm[4|6]_mode_* modules") Signed-off-by: Martin Schiller <ms@dev.tdt.de>
* kernel: remove handling of xfrm[4|6]_mode_* modulesMartin Schiller2022-10-31
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | For kernel versions before 5.2, the required IPsec modes have to be enabled explicitly (they are built-in for newer kernels). Commit 1556ed155a9a ("kernel: mode_beet mode_transport mode_tunnel xfram modules") tried to handle this, but it does not really work. Since we don't support these kernel versions anymore and the code is also broken, let's remove it. Signed-off-by: Martin Schiller <ms@dev.tdt.de> [Remove old generic config options too] Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: netsupport: Add FQ-PIE as an optional sched kmod and extract PIEKabuli Chana2022-09-13
| | | | | | | | add Flow Queuing with Proportional Integral controller Enhanced (FQ-PIE) as an optional kmod in network support and extract sched-pie from kmod-sched to allow dependency on just kmod-sched-pie (PIE). Signed-off-by: Kabuli Chana <newtownBuild@gmail.com>
* kernel: extract kmod-sched-act-ipt from kmod-schedStijn Tintel2022-08-15
| | | | | | | | | | There is only one module in kmod-sched that depends on iptables. Move it to its own kmod package so we can drop the kmod-ipt-core dependency from kmod-sched. This makes it possible to disable all kmod-ipt-* packages without having to disable kmod-sched. Since we now default to firewall4 and nftables, we should avoid iptables dependencies where we can. Signed-off-by: Stijn Tintel <stijn@linux-ipv6.be>
* kernel: kmod-isdn4linux: Remove packageHauke Mehrtens2022-08-10
| | | | | | | The isdn4linux drivers and subsystem was removed in kernel 5.3, remove the kernel package also from OpenWrt. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de>
* kernel: netsupport: Extract act_policeHauke Mehrtens2022-08-06
| | | | | | | This extracts kmod-sched-act-police to allow using it without adding all the packages from the big kmod-sched package. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: Add kmod-sched-act-sampleThomas Langer2022-08-06
| | | | | | | | This adds the act_sample.ko and psample.ko kernel module which allows traffic sampling. Signed-off-by: Thomas Langer <tlanger@maxlinear.com> Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: Extract sched-prio and sched-redThomas Langer2022-08-06
| | | | | | | | | Extract the kmod-sched-prio and kmod-sched-red kernel modules from the big kmod-sched package. This allows adding the two kernel modules to OpenWrt without adding the kmod-sched and all its depdnecy. Signed-off-by: Thomas Langer <tlanger@maxlinear.com> Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: Add kmod-sched-drrHauke Mehrtens2022-08-06
| | | | | | This adds a package with the DRR scheduler. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: kmod-sched: Reorder packagesHauke Mehrtens2022-08-06
| | | | | | | | This puts the kmod-sched packages into an alphabetical order. I kept the kmod-sched-core at the top as this is the main package. No changes other than reordering were done. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: kmod-sched: explicitly define included modulesThomas Langer2022-08-06
| | | | | | | | | | Change SCHED_MODULES_EXTRA to an explicit list of modules instead of taking everything that is not filtered out. This removes the need of updating the filter each time an extra sch_*, act_* or similar is added with an own kmod definition. Signed-off-by: Thomas Langer <tlanger@maxlinear.com> Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: kmod-sched: Add kmod-lib-textsearch dependencyHauke Mehrtens2022-08-06
| | | | | | | The CONFIG_NET_EMATCH_TEXT configuration option depends on the kmod-lib-textsearch package. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netsupport: kmod-sched: Remove sch_fq_codel and sch_fifoHauke Mehrtens2022-08-06
| | | | | | | | | The sch_fq_codel.ko and the sch_fifo.ko are always compiled into the kernel, they are activated in the generic kernel configuration. There is no need to activate the build of these kernel modules in the kmod-sched* packages. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hmehrtens@maxlinear.com>
* kernel: netconsole: add network console logging supportCatalin Toda2022-07-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Accessing the console on many devices is difficult. netconsole eases debugging on devices that crash after the network is up. Reference to the netconsole documentation in upstream Linux: <https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/networking/netconsole.html> | |netconsole=[+][src-port]@[src-ip]/[<dev>],[tgt-port]@<tgt-ip>/[tgt-macaddr] | | where | + if present, enable extended console support | src-port source for UDP packets (defaults to 6665) | src-ip source IP to use (interface address) | dev network interface (eth0) | tgt-port port for logging agent (6666) | tgt-ip IP address for logging agent | tgt-macaddr ethernet MAC address for logging agent (broadcast) OpenWrt specific notes: OpenWrt's device userspace scripts are attaching the network interface (i.e. eth0) to a (virtual) bridge (br-lan) device. This will cause netconsole to report: |network logging stopped on interface eth0 as it is joining a master device (and unfortunately the traffic/logs to stop at this point) As a workaround, the netconsole module can be manually loaded again after the bridge has been setup with: insmod netconsole netconsole=@/br-lan,@192.168.1.x/MA:C... One way of catching errors before the handoff, try to append the /etc/modules.conf file with the following extra line: options netconsole netconsole=@/eth0,@192.168.1.x/MA:C... and install the kmod-netconsole (=y) into the base image. Signed-off-by: Catalin Toda <catalinii@yahoo.com> (Added commit message from PR, added links to documentation) Signed-off-by: Christian Lamparter <chunkeey@gmail.com>
* kernel: bump 5.10 to 5.10.119John Audia2022-06-06
| | | | | | | | | | Delete the crypto-lib-blake2s kmod package, as BLAKE2s is now built-in. Patches automatically rebased. Build system: x86_64 Build-tested: ipq806x/R7800, x86/64 Signed-off-by: John Audia <therealgraysky@proton.me>

| | | | | | | Add option to compile kmod-inet-diag, support for INET (TCP, DCCP, etc) socket monitoring interface used by native Linux tools such as ss. Signed-off-by: Tianling Shen <cnsztl@immortalwrt.org>
* kernel: kmod-tcp-scalable: add scalable tcp congestion algorithmCatalin Toda2022-03-01
| | | | Signed-off-by: Catalin Toda <catalinii@gmail.com>
* kernel: add kmod-vrfMarek Behún2022-02-01
| | | | | | | | | | | Add option to compile kmod-vrf, support for Virtual Routing and Forwarding (Lite). This module depends on NET_L3_MASTER_DEV, which is a boolean kernel option, so we need to create a configuration option also for this, and make kmod-vrf depend on it. Signed-off-by: Marek Behún <kabel@kernel.org>
* kernel/modules: prevent bonding driver to create default bond0 interfaceFlorian Eckert2021-11-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When loading the bonding driver, bonding interface are automatically created on bonding module load. > ip a s bond0 > 14: bond0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,MASTER> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN > group default qlen 1000 > link/ether a6:f2:20:64:c1:b9 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff This is not necessary in openwrt as we do not use this created interface. The netifd creates a bonding interface based on its network configuration name and configures this over the netifd bonding proto handler. In order to keep the overview of the interfaces clear, bonding interfaces should not be created automatically when loading this module, because they are not used anyway. Signed-off-by: Florian Eckert <fe@dev.tdt.de>
* kernel: kmod-xfrm-interface requires IPv6Stijn Tintel2021-08-06
| | | | | | | | The xfrm_interface module will not be built if IPv6 is not enabled in the kernel. Add this dependency in the kmod package to avoid people wondering why it doesn't build when they disabled IPv6. Signed-off-by: Stijn Tintel <stijn@linux-ipv6.be>
* kernel/modules: move act_gact into kmod-sched-coreDENG Qingfang2021-04-17
| | | | | | | As the name suggests, act_gact has the generic actions such as dropping and accepting packets, so move it into kmod-sched-core. Signed-off-by: DENG Qingfang <dqfext@gmail.com>
* kernel/modules: relocate teql hotplug from iproute2 to kmod-schedTony Ambardar2021-03-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The link equalizer sch_teql.ko of package kmod-sched relies on a hotplug script historically included in iproute2's tc package. In previous discussion [1], consensus was the hotplug script is best located together with the module in kmod-sched, but this change was deferred at the time. Relocate the hotplug script now. This change also simplifies adding a tc variant for minimal size with reduced functionality. * kernel: fix kmod-wireguard package fieldsIlya Lipnitskiy2021-02-26
| | | | | | | | | Use NETWORK_SUPPORT_MENU like all other modules in netsupport.mk. Drop SECTION and CATEGORY fields as they are set by default and to match other packages in netsupport.mk. Use better TITLE for kmod-wireguard (taken from upstream drivers/net/Kconfig). Signed-off-by: Ilya Lipnitskiy <ilya.lipnitskiy@gmail.com>
* kernel: migrate wireguard into the kernel treeIlya Lipnitskiy2021-02-26
| | | | | | | | | | On Linux 5.4, build WireGuard from backports. Linux 5.10 contains wireguard in-tree. Add in-kernel crypto libraries required by WireGuard along with arch-specific optimizations. Signed-off-by: Ilya Lipnitskiy <ilya.lipnitskiy@gmail.com>
* kernel/modules: remove fake users from udptunnel{4,6}Rui Salvaterra2021-01-01
| | | | | | | | | | Since we're now able to select CONFIG_NET_UDP_TUNNEL at will, drop the fake dependencies. This is a partial revert of commit d7e040f8bccec06b64c82963be6435101423dbf1 "kernel: add fake users for udptunnel and iptunnel modules". Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>

* kernel: remove obsolete kernel version switches for 4.14Adrian Schmutzler2020-09-02
| | | | | | | | | | This removes switches dependent on kernel version 4.14 as well as several packages/modules selected only for that version. This also removes sched-cake-virtual, which is not required anymore now that we have only one variant of cake. Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
