* mediatek: remove the aquantia kmod from filogic mediatek platformsPaul Donald8 days
| | | | | | | | | | The kmod is installed on all filogic mediatek images, even for devices that do not have any aquantia hardware. Remove it. * mediatek: include "kmod-mt7915e" package per deviceRafał Miłecki2024-05-23
| | | | | | | | | | | mt7915e driver supports MT7915 & MT7916 devices and MT7981 & MT7986 on-SoC wireless controllers. Devices based on MT7988 and possibly other next chipsets are quite unlikely to need it (MT7988 was designed to be used with MT7996). Move kmod-mt7915e to DEVICE_PACKAGES of relevant devices. * mediatek: include 'fitblk' package for subtargetsDaniel Golle2024-02-26
| | | | | | | | | | If selected on a per-board base, fitblk doesn't end up in initramfs images which always only come with the subtarget's default packages. Hence fitblk needs to be included as a default package of all subtargets making use of fitblk instead of it being selected for individual boards. Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <daniel@makrotopia.org>
* mediatek: filogic: replace built-in Aquantia driver with moduleRafał Miłecki2024-02-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Some Aquantia PHYs (e.g. AQR113C) require firmware to be uploaded by host system. With built-in drivers this doesn't work in OpenWrt / embeddded as filesystem isn't available during PHY probe. That results in delays like: [ 1.588068] Aquantia AQR113C mdio-bus:00: Falling back to sysfs fallback for: Rhe-05.06-Candidate9-AQR_Mediatek_23B_P5_ID45824_LCLVER1.cld [ 64.526387] Aquantia AQR113C mdio-bus:00: failed to find FW file Rhe-05.06-Candidate9-AQR_Mediatek_23B_P5_ID45824_LCLVER1.cld (-110) Switch to module to postpone PHY probe to init state. * mediatek: broaden filogic target descriptionDaniel Golle2023-03-27
| | | | | | | The filogic subtarget now also supports MT7981 and will in future also support MT7988. Reflect that in the target description. Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <daniel@makrotopia.org>
* linux-firmware: add mt7986 offload firmwareFelix Fietkau2023-03-02
| | | | | | | This is needed for WED support on MT7986. Enable it by default for the filogic subtarget. Signed-off-by: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name>
* treewide: replace wpad-basic-wolfssl defaultRosen Penev2023-02-04
| | | | | | | The newly merged mbedtls backend is smaller and has fewer ABI related issues than the wolfSSL one. Signed-off-by: Rosen Penev <rosenp@gmail.com>
* kernel: enable inside secure driver for MediaTek platformsDaniel Golle2022-08-28
| | | | | | | | Older MT7623 ARMv7 SoC as well as new Filogic platforms come with inside-secure,safexcel-eip97 units. Enable them in DTS and select the driver kernel module by default on those platforms. Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <daniel@makrotopia.org>
* mediatek: add filogic subtargetFelix Fietkau2022-08-28
Initially this covers MT7986 only, but it will later be expanded to cover other Filogic branded platforms by MediaTek Signed-off-by: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name> Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <daniel@makrotopia.org>
